Licenses and credits
The Corral is built with and on other people's work. This page credits it on the website. The app has its own page, with each license's full text, under Settings → About → Licenses and credits.

Maps in the app
- Apple Maps: maps and map pictures in the app come from Apple Maps, with data from Apple's providers (acknowledgements, terms).
- Course thumbnails: the small course maps in Courses in 3D and on the Races page are drawn by The Corral from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. The map data file they're drawn from is itself available under the ODbL.
- Race locations on the app's map: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
- Course routes: drawn by The Corral on OpenStreetMap streets (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) from each organizer's official course map, or taken from the organizer's own course file where their site allows it. Where did this route come from? lists every course and its source.
- Elevation: where a government terrain model covers a course, its profile comes from that model (ground level, with buildings, trees and bridges taken out). Long bridge decks are measured from LiDAR or built from the bridge's published heights. Elsewhere it comes from the Copernicus DEM. The Corral samples and smooths each model's heights along the course to draw its profile; the agencies below made the terrain models, not these profiles, and none of them endorses The Corral.
